iVIP*: EDI via SPS Commerce

Bunzl has, together with our partner SPS Commerce, introduced a new solution that allows you to send documents to Bunzl in almost any format (see below). SPS Commerce will convert the files for you to the format that Bunzl can process. The most important restriction is that the documents you send to the service needs to contain at least the mandatory data according to our minimum data model.

This service is, other than VIP, not free of charge, you have to close a contract with SPS Commerce. Bunzl and SPS Commerce have come to an agreement and that will keep both the initial entry fee and the operational cost as low as possible.

The input format can be:

  • CSV
  • XML
  • UBL-XML
  • cXML
  • Excel
  • Fixed record length ASCII
  • ANSI X.12
  • Tradacoms
  • VDA
  • Odette
  • iDoc

Communication methods:

  • e-mail
  • sFTP
  • HTTP
  • VAN networks

ALL MESSAGES NOT SENT VIA iVIP HAVE TO BE STILL TRANSMITTED TO BUNZL EITHER VIA TRADITIONAL EDI OR THROUGH THE VIP PORTAL! INVOICES WHERE WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE FULL MESSAGE FLOW CANNOT BE PROCESSED BY OUR SYSTEMS!

COSTS

The most basic version of iVIP costs:

  • Initial cost: € 250
  • Yearly subscription including 300 messages: € 150 (pre-paid)
  • Extra documents: € 0.65 charged yearly afterwards.

CONTENT OF THE BASIC CONTRACT

  • Setup of communication between Supplier and TIE via email or FTP
  • Conversion of file formats to the Bunzl file format
  • Sending messages to the Bunzl companies that are connected via VIP
  • Technical support (as per SLA)

Pricing of additional modules, more complex integrations or extra support, are supplier specific and will be quoted by SPS Commerce.

DISCLAIMER

Please note that the iVIP service is offered by SPS Commerce, which means that initial and operational costs of using iVIP will be invoiced by TIE Kinetix directly to the supplier, as per their contract.

The contract shall be closed between the Supplier and SPS Commerce. Bunzl is not involved by any means in the contract between the supplier and SPS Commerce for the iVIP integrations.

HOW TO APPLY FOR iVIP

If you would like to find out about your options to enter iVIP with SPS Commerce, first contact us so we can assess whether this is technically possible and supported.

Once this is confirmed, the process will continue only between you and SPS Commerce.

Please also note that in order to be able to onboard iVIP, for technical reasons you need to register on VIP as well. However we ask you to only proceed with that once your iVIP application has been approved.
